When Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder— much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing—not even a smear of blood—to show that a boy has died.Or was he a boy? This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary people like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . . (Cassandraclare.com)

Hey guys! I’ve read a lot of books and have not reviewed them. Things have gotten hectic lately and rather than bombarding you guys with a bunch of reviews here are some mini reviews of everything that I have read lately. ALSO NOTICE: I will be gone this weekend on a camping trip where there is no cell service so I won’t be able to respond to comments and stuff till Sunday, maybe Monday. When I get back I’ll also put up the recap of me getting to meet Marissa Meyer! I am still so happy about that!

When 16-year-old Tessa Gray crosses the ocean to find her brother, her destination is England, the time is the reign of Queen Victoria, and something terrifying is waiting for her in London’s Downworld, where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Only the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons, keep order amidst the chaos. Kidnapped by the mysterious Dark Sisters, members of a secret organization called The Pandemonium Club, Tessa soon learns that she herself is a Downworlder with a rare ability: the power to transform, at will, into another person. What’s more, the Magister, the shadowy figure who runs the Club, will stop at nothing to claim Tessa’s power for his own.

Friendless and hunted, Tessa takes refuge with the Shadowhunters of the London Institute, who swear to find her brother if she will use her power to help them. She soon finds herself fascinated by — and torn between — two best friends: James, whose fragile beauty hides a deadly secret, and blue-eyed Will, whose caustic wit and volatile moods keep everyone in his life at arm’s length . . . everyone, that is, but Tessa. As their search draws them deep into the heart of an arcane plot that threatens to destroy the Shadowhunters, Tessa realizes that she may need to choose between saving her brother and helping her new friends save the world… and that love may be the most dangerous magic of all. Mini Reviews: Series, Series, Series

Hey guys! Long time no see! It feels like a long time, probably isn’t… But today I have some mini book reviews. This was inspired by YA Midnight Reads who do mini reviews from time to time and I thought the idea was great! I have read a lot of series books lately, which is surprising for me since I’m a hard core stand-alone person. But I felt like continuing on with some series the past few reads. Like the second and third books from The Mortal Instruments and the second book from the Raven Boys Series, as well as some others. So let’s get into it!
